Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea have been offered sign Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, who is available for £11million, according to Telegraph.

Pato was once one of the brightest prospects in the world, but consecutive injuries did not allow him to reach his potential.

He started his career brightly at Internacional and AC Milan signed him. At Milan, he became one of the key players but his career became stagnant due to consecutive injuries.

He was awarded the prestigious European Golden Boy award in 2009.

He then returned to Brazil at Corinthians and is now spending a loan spell at Sao Paulo.

He has picked up his form at Sao Paulo and scored a total of 30 goals in 74 games for the Brazilian giants.

Pato has 27 appearances for Brazilian national team and scored 10 goals.

Pato has come back from his injury nightmares and wants to kickstart his career again.

He is a quick, agile, and creative forward, with excellent technical ability, and an eye for goal, Pato was considered to be one of the world’s most promising young footballing stars in his youth.

His former managers Carlos Dunga and Carlo Ancelotti even likened his ability to that of other legendary Brazilian attacking players, such as Careca, Kakà, Romário, and Ronaldo.

But unfortunately, injuries did not let him reach his peak but he is just 25 and can still fulfil his potential.

Pato has been linked with Sunderland and Stoke City but is not expected to join either club. However, there is an expectation that he will make a move to the Premier League before the transfer window closes this summer.
