Former Manchester United star and Sky Sports expert Gary Neville is in no mood to show mercy to Arsenal after yesterday’s 0-0 draw against Liverpool as he now targets the club’s star duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Neville blamed the duo for not taking up responsibilities on the pitch when the team was struggling last night. He clearly mentioned that the Gunners did not deserve more than a point from last night’s game and accused Sanchez and Ozil of performing as per expectations.

Sky Sports quoted Neville: “They’re fantastic players but do they take responsibility for their teammates? No.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mesut Ozil take responsibility for the rest of his team. I’ve seen him have good games, where he passes the ball well, gets involved and gets assists but doesn’t get enough goals.

“Alexis Sanchez is someone that plays in moments and is tenacious. If you look at that back six tonight, Cech is the only experienced one in the back seven.

“The experience was in the front of the pitch, Olivier Giroud, Sanchez and Ozil – they’re not the type of players that will take responsibility for the players behind them.

“I was so surprised tonight at the poor quality Arsenal showed on the ball, they gave it away time after time.”

Arsenal’s home record in this season so far has been a nightmare as they are yet to score a goal at the Emirates in two matches. The Gunners held an exceptional goal-scoring record last season at their home. They lost their season-opener against West Ham United and drew against Liverpool last night.
