South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first on a pitch which had little to offer for the bowlers. India made three changes to the side dropping Shikhar Dhawan, Wriddhiman Saha, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar and bringing in KL Rahul, Parthiv Patel, and Ishant Sharma. Saha has been dropped because of a hamstring injury during a practice session. South Africa dropped injured Dale Steyn for debutant Lungi Ngidi. South Africa went into the lunch break at 78/0.

New Zealand vs. Pakistan, 3rd ODI, Dunedin

Pakistan was bundled out for 74 and lost the third ODI by 183 runs as hosts New Zealand took a 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first and finished their first innings at 257. Skipper Kane Williamson was the top scorer for the winning team with 73. Rumman Raees and Hasan Ali picked up three wickets each. While chasing, Pakistan stumbled to the fast bowling of Trent Boult who picked up five wickets in 7.2 overs and gave away just 17 runs. Pakistan’s last batsman Rumman Raees was the top scorer with 16 runs.
