Roger Federer eases through to the third round of the US Open 2015.
While Roger Federer, had an easy way through to the third round after straight sets victory over Steve Darcis 6-1, 6-2, 6-1. Meanwhile, Andy Murray had his work cut out as he came back from 2 sets down against Adrian Mannarino to claim the next three sets 5-7, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1.
Roger Federer was absolutely on the top of his game hitting 11 aces and 46 winners. Federer continued his rich vein of form and was dictating play right from the beginning of the first set. The Swiss maintained 70% of his first serve and won 19 of his 29 net points. While the world no.2 managed to convert 7 of his 19 breakpoints the Belgian failed to break the Swiss serve at least once.

Andy Murray survives the scare, comes back from 2 sets down to emerge on the top
Andy Murray had a tough second round as he came back from 2 sets down to register a place in the third round. The Frenchman Adrian Mannarino gave Andy Murray a stern test in the second round by taking the opening two sets and was dominating the match to the fullest. However, Murray held his nerve and fought his way back into the match.
Murray was impressive with his serving hitting 21 aces and hitting 45 aces. Murray’s net game wasn’t much effective as his previous rounds winnings just 10 out of 18 points. Mannarino made 61 unforced errors in the entire match which were the main root cause for his defeat.
