Australia on Saturday won their second ODI comfortably by 64 runs. A solid team performance helped Australia to reach just one step away from the ODI series win. Batting first Australia scored 309 with the help of Steve Smith (70), George Bailey(54), Mitchell Marsh (64) and Maxwell (49).
With the ball in hand, Pat Cummins took 4 wickets with a solid assistance from Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc. But, after the convincing win a controversial incident has rocked the cricket world.
It is Ben Stokes’ controversial dismissal for obstructing the field against Australia in the 2nd ODI at Lord’s.
The incident happened in the 26th over when England were at 141 for 4. Ben Stokes was batting at his personal score 10. Mitchell Starc bowled a fuller length ball, Stokes defended the ball in follow through Start field the ball and throw the ball towards his body, Stokes halted the ball with his left hand. Since the incident, Stokes was given the controversial dismissal.
