David De Gea is all set to make a comeback in the Manchester United starting XI in Premier League, according to Marca.

According to the reports, Manchester United are set to welcome the Spanish goalkeeper Davide De Gea with open arms and the custodian is likely to start on Saturday against arch-rivals Liverpool.

David de Gea, who was under speculation for the entire transfer window, stayed back at the club after a deal with Real Madrid fell through under dramatic circumstances. It was understood that he wanted to join La Liga giants, but a deadline day fiasco forced him to stay back at England for at least one season.

At the start of the season, Louis van Gaal kept De Gea decided to keep De Gea out in favour of Sergio Romero in the starting lineup. But the Argentine did not marvel the viewers with his performances and was at fault for conceding a silly goal against Swansea which costed United vital three points.

Thus, if media reports are to be believed United’s Dutch manager won’t take the risk and bench his best goalkeeper in a crucial match on Saturday.

David De Gea played for the Spanish national team last night against Macedonia and kept a clean sheet.

After the match, De Gea opined: “I felt so good. I hope that I now have some good fortune also with my club.

“The support I received has been so important. I have awesome team-mates.”

De Gea’s United and Spanish team mate Juan Mata also backed the custodian’s performace and said: “De Gea hadn’t so much work to do, but he is always very focused,He’s a good professional.”

De Gea is serving the final year of his contract with Manchester United. The club wants to have the goalkeeper for a longer period and thus the club wants him to sign a new contract. It will be interesting to see if De Gea feels at home at Old Trafford and extend his contract with the club.
