When a young Indian boy wrote a letter to Kevin Pietersen

Being a good player depends on the player’s form, his style of play, how he manages stress etc. But being a good human being depends on how he gestures towards the fame that he gets after becoming a good player. Cricket is known as the ‘gentlemen’s game’ while the cricketer’s behaviour always does not do justice to it. Over the years, cricket has seen many arrogant players but at the same time some have proven to be a true gentleman by his actions.

Kevin Pietersen without any doubt is one of the most talented players produced by the English soil. He has showed the world many unforgettable stroke-plays, has created many instances of awesome feats but has won many hearts with something more than these- some good human activities.

In the year 2014, a little Indian boy called Rohan Luthra wrote a letter to his idol, Kevin Pietersen. He revealed that he has been selected to play for Chesire county Cricket under 11 team and he wanted a one-on-one session with the star cricketer. But he was wrongly informed that Pietersen charges for these sessions and he even saved a sum but the same source again played villain saying the money won’t be enough. Rohan urged to the player for just one session. When the letter reached to the cricketer, he posted it on his official social media pages.

There was a message attached.

“I received this letter at my signing session last night. I have never profited from a one-on-one. Only ever done them for charity but this letter touched me. I would be delighted to coach you at The Oval and I will organise all your transport so that it doesn’t cost you a penny, Rohan!”

Here is a look of the letter:

We hope to see the dynamic player on the field real soon overcoming this bad phase of him besides thanking him for his humble self.
