The 17-time grand slam champion Roger Federer who is widely regarded as the greatest player of all time will be playing for Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s team in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).

Virat Kohli has been named as the co-owner of the UAE Royals in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).

Roger Federer who replaced Rafael Nadal in the IPTL last year for the Indian Aces will be playing for  UAE Royals this year.

The second edition of IPTL, founded by Mahesh Bhupathi will be played from December 2 to 20 across 5 countries including India. Five teams are in the fray.

India will be represented by Indian Aces, who won the inaugural edition. Last year, Federer had played for India. This season, Leander Paes is part of the team.

Kohli, who recently led India to a historic 2-1 Test series win in Sri Lanka, also co-owns a football team – FC Goa in the Indian Super League.
