Starting the Premier League season on a disappointing note, Chelsea managed to start their Champions League journey strongly. They defeated ISralei side Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 as Willian, Oscar, Diego costa and Cesc Fabregas found the net. Eden Hazard skied a penalty kick, but that won’t hurt Mourinho as the struggling Chelsea team has finally registered a win.

Chelsea got three points in the group G encounter but their biggest player Eden Hazard, who was under scrutiny for poor displays this season, will be disappointed to sky his penalty.

Oscar’s comeback has finally brought a win for the Blues and Chelsea will be looking to start performing well in the League now also.

Here are Chelsea player ratings for the game-

Asmir Begovic- 3/5

A comfortable game for the Bosnian and he did not have to do much.

Cesar Azpilicueta- 3.5/5

Did very well both in defence and attack and worked hard for the team.

Kurt Zouma- 3.5/5

Made a very good tackle to deny a goal for the visiting side and gave a calm and composed display.

Gary Cahill- 3/5

Was untroubled for the most of the game amid chants from fans for the heroics of the player despite playing with a protective mask.

Baba Rahman- 3.5/5

Gave a good display on his debut. Fans will be happy to see the new signing doing well.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek- 3/5

Did well after being preferred to Matic by the manager. Got booked for a high boot and lost possession few times but the youngster did well get a standing ovation when being subbed off.

Cesc Fabregas- 4/5

One assist and one goal were good enough for the Spaniard from coming back from poor displays back to back.

Willian- 4/5

The Brazilian was a brilliant winning penalty which was missed by Hazard and also opened the scoring.

Oscar- 3.5/5

The Brazilian star came back from an injury and did well and also converted a penalty kick.

Eden Hazard- 1.5/5

The PFA Player of the Year from the last season looks like a shadow of last season’s Hazard and also missed a penalty.

Loic Remy- 3/5

Did well starting ahead of Costa and was shifted to the right after Willian’s injury.

Substitutes-

Ramires- 3/5

Did well after coming on for Oscar.

Bertrand Traore- NA

Was introduced too late to make any impression

Diego Costa- 3.5/5

Did well after coming on winning a penalty and also scoring a good goal.
