On Day 2 of the Korean Open Super Series 2015, PV Sindhu lost to Takashi in the second round while Ajay Jayaram won his second round match against Wong. PV Sindhu lost in straight sets while Ajay Jayaram won in three sets.

PV Sindhu played against Takashi in the second round. In the first game the Japanese player dominated right from the start and never allowed PV Sindhu to come back in the game. PV Sindhu had defeated Inaton yesterday but could not show the same form in today’s match. PV Sindhu lost the first set 16-21. In the second game PV Sindhu looked out of sorts and lost the second game 13-21 to be knocked out of Korean Open Super Series.

In men’s singles, Ajay Jayaram went up against Wong. In the first game, Ajay Jayaram started on a positive note taking a 7-4 lead. At the interval, Jayaram led 11-7. After the interval, Wong came back into the match and equaled the score at 11-11. Wong took 8 points to take a commanding 19-11 lead. Wong took the first game 21-17. In the second game, Wong took the early advantage. At the interval, Wong led 11-10. Ajay Jayaram took the next four points on the trot. Wong tried to make a comeback, but Ajay Jayaram took the second game 21-15. In the deciding game, both players started fighting hard for each and every point. At the interval, Wong led 11-10. After the interval, Jayaram from 11-11 took the next 2 points in a row to take a slender lead. Jayaram then played attacking badminton and won the third game 21-15 to move into the quarter-finals of Korean Open Super Series.
