It looked inevitable that Diego Costa will be punished for his actions against Arsenal and it has happened as The FA have decided to intervene and take charge of the matter. Following a match report submitted by the match official Mike Dean, FA have decided to charge Costa with violent conduct while Gabriel Paulista has been charged with improper conduct.
In a statement released by The FA, it was said: “Diego Costa has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
“Arsenal defender Gabriel has been charged with improper conduct for his behaviour following his dismissal, whilst team-mate Santi Cazorla has been warned for his behaviour following his sending off.
“Finally, both clubs have been charged for failing to control their players under FA Rule E20.
“Both clubs and Gabriel have until 6pm on Thursday [September 24] to reply.”
FA have decided to act on both the clubs as well by finding them guilty of not controlling their layers during the brawl involving Costa, Koscielny and Gabreil. According to the FA, players have until Tuesday 6 PM to appeal against the decision, if not FA will then announced their verdict which for now looks a 3-game ban for both the players.
Another player involved in the incidence was Santi Cazorla. He has been warned by The FA to conduct himself better in coming games as he was found guilty of not showing proper conduct during the entire saga.
