Arsene Wenger is going through a terrible phase in his life as media reports suggest that he has parted ways with his wife Annie.

The notorious British newspaper The Sun  claims that Wenger and partner Annie had a ‘separation of bodies’ judgment issued by a judge in Paris, meaning that they are free to see other people. Even though the divorce is inevitable but the Arsenal boss is still expected to support Annie financially, according to Sun’s report.

According to a source close to the Frenchman, Sun quoted:  “They have divided up their assets and agreed a financial package to separate.

“They have not been happy for a while, and they decided this was the best course of action to take.”

The pair had been in a long-term relationship and married each other in 2010. They also have an 18-year-old daughter.

A few weeks before the wedding it was reported that Wenger had become close to French rapper Sonia Tatar, then 39.

It is still not clear if the couple would still leave together in London at their mansion close to Arsenal’s training ground. They were last pictured together at an IWC watch event in January 2014 in Germany.

A French legal expert told The Sun: “This is a legal separation, which means the couple is not legally obliged to live together, and they can have separate lives, and no longer have intimate relations.

“He will have to still keep his responsibilities to look after the family. If the judgment is not overturned within two years, a divorce will be automatically granted.”

Arsene Wenger is going through turbulence both on the field and in his personal life. Arsenal has been extremely inconsistent this season as they have not won matches consecutively for two matches. While they are placed in a comfortable position in the Premier League table, they have lost their first match in the Champions League against minnows Dinamo Zagreb.

They also lost against rivals Chelsea last weekend which degraded their position in the league table.

Time and again the veteran French manager has been criticised for his poor transfer policies which have affected the club.

The divorce issue will be a huge blow for the grand old man of Arsenal.
