The fixtures in the third round of the Domestic Knockout Cup in England the Capital One Cup have come to an end and there have been some interesting and close encounters. No big upsets were caused in the third round and the draws for the fourth round are already out.
Both Manchester Clubs advanced into the 4th round with thumping victories and are rewarded with home fixtures in the 4th round. Sheffield Wednesday threw Premier League team Newcastle United out of the 3rd round and will host the Gunners who successfully got over the line against Tottenham.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace:
The Etihad will host an all Premier League contest between the home team and Crystal Palace. Both teams have had identical 4-1 victories in the 3rd round. This fixture has all the makings of a grueling encounter.
Liverpool vs Bournemouth:

Everton vs Norwich:
Another fixture with two Premier League team, Everton beat Reading in the previous round and will welcome Norwich City to the Goodison Park in the 4th round. Norwich City beat West Bromwich Albion in the 3rd round.
Southampton vs Aston Villa:
Southampton handed a footballing lesson to an MK Dons side away from home. They are drawn with Aston Villa of the Premier League. Aston Villa needed just one goal to beat Birmingham City in the previous round.
Sheffield Wednesday v Arsenal:
Arsenal survived the North London Derby as they beat Spurs 2-1 to enter into the 4th round. They are drawn with Sheffield Wednesday who beat Premier League side Newcastle United to enter the next round of the cup.
Hull v Leicester:
Swansea City were stunned by Hull in the 3rd round when they were beaten 1-0 away from home. Hull are drawn against Leicester who beat West Ham United 2-1 in the 3rd round fixture.
Stoke v Chelsea:
Stoke entered the 4th round of the tournament after beating Fulham with a solitary goal. They will welcome the holders Chelsea for a fourth round fixture. Chelsea put 4 past Walsall in their 3rd round to set up the game against Stoke.
The exact dates are not yet fixed, but the ties will be played in the week commencing October 26th.
The League Cup may not be as prestigious as the other cups in Europe but it is a form of silverware and every club would love to get their hands on it.
