However, the Australian media, fans, and the government feel that a one-match ban is not enough and the Australian skipper should be sacked from the post of captaincy.

The Australian media has gone bonkers over the incidence, and every newspaper had a full front page coverage about the incidence Down Under.

The country is humiliated and embarrassed by the actions of their national team at the highest level.  Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the country came out and spoke about the incidence.

Malcolm Turnbull slammed the Australian cricket team and spoke to the media about the entire episode. Moreover, he also asked the Australian Cricket Board to take immediate actions.

He said:

“We all woke up this morning shocked and bitterly disappointed by the news from South Africa. It seemed completely beyond belief that the Australian cricket team had been involved in cheating.”After all, our cricketers are role models and cricket is synonymous with fair play. How can our team by engaged in cheating like this? It beggars belief.

“There’s a lot of disappointment.”

“I’ve expressed to him very clearly and unequivocally my disappointment and my concern about the events in South Africa. It’s their responsibility to deal with it but I have to say the whole nation who holds those who wear the baggy green up on a pedestal — about as high as you can get in Australia, higher than any politician that’s for sure — this is a shocking disappointment and it’s wrong and I look forward to Cricket Australia taking decisive action soon.”

Here is how the Australian media reacted to the actions of their cricket team.
