The India Women’s Cricket Team will undergo specialised training ahead of the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Windies will host the T20 World Cup in November this year.

However, the training will take place at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore in April and May.

India’s think tank had a meeting at the BCCI headquarters a day after India crashed out the T20 tri-series.

The meeting comprised of coach Tushar Arothe, BCCI’s games development general manager, Prof Ratnakar Shetty, and CoA member Diana Edulgi.

It wasn’t a review meeting. The meeting was held to decide on the way forward as far as preparing for the T20 World Cup,” a BCCI official told mid-day.

Meanwhile, India had a very poor series against Australi and the tri-series after a successful tour in South Africa. The visitors whitewashed India in the three-match ODI series and then knocked out of T20 series with three straight loss.

India suffered mainly due to the failure of the middle-order, and the bowlers failed to pick wickets.

They need to look into this, as the World Cup event looms ahead later this year.

The Indian eves will travel for the T20 Asia Cup in June and participate in five T20Is in Sri Lanka. They will look to improve their performance and do good against the Islanders.

Since not much can be done about the international fixtures now, an Australia ‘A’ team will visit India in October.

The official further informed that they would play three ODI’s and T20, as the preparation for T20 World Cup.
