Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma recently revealed the reason behind Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman’s inclusion in the Mumbai squad.
Since his arrival in the international cricket, Mustafizur has quickly ascended up the ranks in no time. The left-arm seamer impressed everybody with his variations.
He also had helped Bangladesh to win many matches. Further, Mustafzur was the chief architect of Bangladesh‘s famous first ever bilateral series win against India.
As a result, Sunrisers Hyderabad roped in the pacer in 2016. The franchise’s decision paid dividends, as he helped them to win their maiden IPL title.

However, injuries put a halt to his career when he was in his prime. He only played one game for the SRH in IPL 2017 and had to pull out of the tournament.
Since then, Mustafizur saw a dip in his performance and his affectibility had gone down. As a result, Hyderabad did not retain him, and it also looked tough for him to bag big bucks in the auction.
However, his antics with the ball attracted bidders at the last moment. The fast-bowler, who had a base price of Rs 1 crore invited some fierce bidding. Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians locked, as he finally went to Mumbai for Rs 2.2 crores.

Mumbai skipper, Rohit while talking about Mustafizur revealed the reason behind his inclusion.
“Mustafizur, as we have seen in the recent past, he has got great variations in his armory. He’s someone who can be a little unpredictable at times, and that is what we want,” Rohit said.
The swashbuckling batsman also added they don’t want to be predictable to which Mustafizur suits the best.
“We don’t want to be predictable as a team. Mustafizur brings that to your table. We are looking forward to that,” added Rohit.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai-based franchise also started their preparation to defend their title.
They will start their campaign in the tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings on April 7 at the famous Wankhede Stadium.
