Sir Alex Ferguson spent his entire life in bringing down Liverpool’s empire and establishing Manchester United as the greatest force in English Football. However, Jurgen Klopp’s appointment at Liverpool has got the legendary Scotsman worried as he sees Klopp as a strong personality and thinks he can do well at Anfield.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Sir Alex said: “It’s a good appointment, I admire him. I know Jurgen pretty well through our meetings at the elite coaching classes in Geneva.
“[He’s a] strong personality, very strong, very stubborn, determined and his career at Dortmund was stellar rise to the top.
“I think he will do very well [at Liverpool]. I don’t like saying that, him being at Liverpool. I’m worried about it! But he will do well.
Perhaps, this could be the most honest opinion anyone has shared about Klopp coming in the Premier League. Klopp joins the Merseyside club with a view of landing a major trophy in next 4 years and finishing in top 4 place this season.
With that being said, Liverpool could emerge as Manchester United’s biggest competition in terms of Champions League places in coming seasons. May be, just may be that has got Sir Alex Ferguson a bit worried about Klopp’s appointment at Liverpool.
