Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah on Monday has backed the opinion of former Pakistan cricket captain, Shahid Afridi on the Kashmir case. However, the former Indian cricketers have come hard at Afridi. Dhawan urged the former skipper to improve the condition of his country before trying to intervene in India’s affairs.

Afridi expressed his anguish yesterday after the death of 20 people in Jammu and Kashmir over the course of this weekend.

Abdulah was in support of Afridi when the media approached him for his take in the matter.

“Everybody has condemned the killings in Kashmir. Every nation is condemning the killing; the killing must stop.”

Former Pakitan all-rounder took to his twitter handle yesterday and mourned about the death of so many people. He further urged the United Nations and other international bodies to make efforts to end the violence in the state.

“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other international bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?” Afridi tweeted.

At least 12 terrorists and three soldiers were among the 20 people killed in three different gunfights.  It happened in Kashmir. As many as 25 people were severely injured.
