The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai between the most successful team of the tournament Mumbai Indians and the second most successful team in the competition, Chennai Super Kings.
It will be a mouth-watering contest on our hands. Mumbai will start a little ahead given their brilliant combination.
In earlier competitions, Mumbai has a better record against the CSK than other teams.
Chennai has found it quite difficult to come out victorious against the three-time champions.
We will be in for a double-header tomorrow. The afternoon match will see Kings XI Punjab lock horns with Delhi Daredevils.
Similarly, the evening match will see Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) going head-to-head with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The principal owner of the Kings XI Punjab, Preity Zinta wished her franchise all the very best ahead of the start of the tournament.
Taking to her twitter handle, Preity Zinta wrote, “As #IPL kicks off today I would like to wish @lionsdenkxip & all our fans & supporters All the very best #teambus #redforever #punjab.”

Punjab has been one of the weakest teams in the tournament so far. They are among the only three teams who have played from the start of the IPL but have never gone on to lift the title ever.
With the captaincy handed over to off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, the franchise will be looking forward to winning their maiden title.
In addition, Punjab had the most successful season back in 2014. They ended up qualifying for the final but lost a nail-biting thriller to the KKR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The Mohali-based outfit has a pretty strong team on paper and will definitely look to turn their fortunes around.
