A shock return for Brendan Rodgers in EPL!! Reports saying he is tipped to become Aston Villa manager.

Clock is ticking for Villa boss Tim Sherwood who has lost six of the last seven league games, after a disastrous start to the season. And Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked barely 3-4 days ago, is being tipped to replace him. In British media there is a rumour going on, if Aston Villa falters in their next two crunching Premiere league fixtures against Chelsea and Swansea, a potential sacking looms large on Sherwood. The Clarets hierarchy frustrated with just one win in their opening eight matches that placed the club third bottom of the league. The manager who led the club to the FA Cup final last season is feeling the pressure surely and is desperate to convince the club’s hierarchy that he can turn the things around.

With Sherwood now rumoured to be the second Premiere League manager of the season to be sacked, reports saying Brendan Rodgers could be the ideal one to accept the challenge at Midlands. In spite all the rumours, whether the recently sacked Liverpool manager is interested to take the difficult position, that’s a million dollar question.

Aston Villa merely escaped the relegation last season by only three points and then surprisingly sold two key players Fabian Delphi and Christian benteke, then spent just £ 7 million in the transfer market. Though Sherwood was keen to rope in players who have experience of English football like Cambiasso and Aaron Lenon, the club hierarchy went for young players with less experience on the recommendation of newly appointed sporting director Hendrik Almstadt and head of recruitment Paddy Reily.

Villa has upcoming crunching encounter with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, after that the most crucial game considering the present scenario against Swansea. Sherwood now has to roll the dice with the likes of Carles Gil, Jack Grealish and many other new young recruits. It’s now or never.
