In British media there is a rumour going on, if Aston Villa falters in their next two crunching Premiere league fixtures against Chelsea and Swansea, a potential sacking looms large on Sherwood. The Clarets hierarchy frustrated with just one win in their opening eight matches that placed the club third bottom of the league. The manager who led the club to the FA Cup final last season is feeling the pressure surely and is desperate to convince the club’s hierarchy that he can turn the things around.
With Sherwood now rumoured to be the second Premiere League manager of the season to be sacked, reports saying Brendan Rodgers could be the ideal one to accept the challenge at Midlands.
