Former India captain, MS Dhoni has filed a lawsuit of almost Rs 150 crore from real estate company Amrapali Group, for whom he was the brand ambassador for 6-7 years according to a report by Economic Times.
The report further states that Rhiti Sports, that manages Dhoni has moved to the Delhi High Court and filed a recovery suit against Amrapali.
“They haven’t given us money for branding and marketing activities,” Arun Pandey, managing director of Rhiti Sports said.
Meanwhile, Dhoni quitted as the brand ambassador way back in 2016. His decision came as many residents of a housing project by Amrapali started trolling him on social media.
The residents were unhappy with their homes and called out the star for his association.

However, Dhoni has started the Indian Premier League (IPL) on a high. His franchise Chennai Super Kings has made a historic comeback with two back to back wins.
CSK provided full entertainment to their fans with two last-over finishes. Dwayne Bravo did the job in the first match while Sam Billings did it in the last.
Moreover, CSK will now play their home games in Pune in the wake of Cauvery Water Dispute. The officials had a meeting with the police but failed to ensure a smooth running of the game.
Although everything is going well for Chennai on the field, they are suffering blows off the field. After Kedar Jadhav, no Suresh Rain will be out of action for the next ten days due to an injury.

While Kedar Jadhav is ruled out of the tournament with a hamstring injury, he sustained in the first game.
Moreover, the Super Kings will play their next game against Kings XI Punjab on April 15 in Mohali.
