Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha, who provided a quickfire start during the last night’s (Saturday) game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has revealed the secret behind Hyderabad’s success.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad-based outfit continued their winning run as they beat the home team Kolkata by five wickets. However, it was a comprehensive win as once again their bowlers set it up for in style.
Saha, who hails from Bengal was happy to return to his home ground. He played a quickfire knock of 24 runs taking the attack to the opposition. His knock was crucial as Kolkata spinners pulled it back in the middle-overs.
However, it was skipper Kane Williamson‘s responsible half-century that saw the team through convincingly.
The pocket-sized dynamo Saha admitted although it is good to be back, but Hyderabad will remain his home turf during the IPL.
“My home ground is Uppal now. But obviously, KKR is a strong team and it feels good to do well here,” Saha said.
Saha also revealed their strategy going into the two-month long league. He said that they are taking one game at a time and is not looking too far ahead.
“Our target is to go match by match, and we are looking in that direction only. I’ve been given a new role to open and asked to play with freedom. I’m trying that only. Overall it was a complete team performance, we did well in batting and bowling,” Saha added.
Owing to the lucrative league, Wriddhiman Saha talked highly of his skipper Williamson, who has led the team from the front.
“He always listens to everyone. Asked all of us to give inputs. We are doing well as a team after David Warner. He’s doing a great job,” Saha concluded.
