Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan is fresh among the players to laud Chennai Super Kings’ batting giant Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The 36-year old made a mockery out of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) bowlers in the slog overs.
The 36-year-old Dhoni was at his best against Kings XI Punjab while chasing a massive 198 runs. Super Kings kept on losing wickets during the middle overs, but Dhoni stood firm and played one of the best knocks in his Twenty20 career in particular.
But little support from other Chennai batsmen meant, Kings XI Punjab sneaked through a narrow win. Dhoni has rolled back the years during his innings. He had certainly proven why he was called the best finisher in the world.

Having had the pressure of needing to score more than 18 runs per over in the last four overs, MS Dhoni had kept his cool and almost pulled off spectacular a win. He managed to score an impressive 41 runs in just 14 balls.
His impressive hard hitting had put pressure on prominent bowlers like Andrew Tye and Mohit Sharma. but the latter had made sure that he held his nerve defending 17 runs in the final over.
“@msdhoni Bhai You are champion, hard Luck but that inning was absolutely Amazing and outstanding to Watch,” Rashid Khan tweeted.

Earlier in the day, Chris Gayle has unleashed himself onto IPL 2018. The southpaw had not featured in the first two Kings XI Punjab games.
But Windies ripped apart Chennai’s bowling as he scored 63 runs off just 33 balls.
Meanwhile, Dhoni had suffered from a stiff back during his knock. He took the help of physio and played the innings through the pain barrier.
However, he will have four days to recover well in time before their next game.
