Rahul is one of the most talented batsmen in the country but has been unfortunate in terms of getting enough chances to play for the national team.

With the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma already in the team, Rahul has found it tough – to find a place in the national fold.

However, this has not dampened his spirits as the right-handed batsman has given his all to make a name for himself and strengthen his chances to make it to the Indian team.

Moreover, whenever Rahul has got an opportunity to play in the first team, the Karnataka-based lad has shown the world that what he is capable of doing on his day.

Rahul is one of the three Indians to score a century in all the three formats of the game.

KL Rahul is looking at the ongoing IPL as an opportunity to stamp his authority on the others and cement a place for himself in the national team.

With players adapting and gelling around quickly for their new franchise, Rahul seems to have made some new friends. One of them being the swashbuckling batsman, Yuvraj Singh, who took to Twitter to wish Rahul on his birthday.

Yuvraj wrote, “Happy birthday bud keep shining like the star. You are! Lots of love @klrahul11 https://www.instagram.com/p/BhtXeRABCh_/”

To which Rahul had a funny reply as he wrote, “Thank you @YUVSTRONG12 pa! Love always! Please stop smashing cakes on my face.”
