Twitter trolls Gautam Gambhir after the news flew thick and fast is that KKR captain and Manoj Tiwary were involved in one of the ugliest on-field brawls during a Ranji match in Delhi. An ugly mid-pitch brawl broke out at the Feroz Shah ground, Delhi as Delhi captain Gautam Gambhir and Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary nearly came to exchange blows during the Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Bengal today.

The situation came to such a position that umpire K Srinath had to come between the two players as Gambhir moved towards Tiwary to hit him and he also came charging at the Delhi skipper.

Gambhir can face a life ban for pushing the umpire K Srinath, who was trying to prevent him from hitting Tiwary.

Both players have played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Indian national team together. Tiwary has won the 2011 IPL under the captaincy of Gambhir while Gambhir was one of the protagonists in India’s 2007 World T20 and 2011 World Cup victory.

After the end of the match Manoj Tiwary said, “I did not do anything. Everything is on video. Gambhir is a senior. I respect him”. “He (Gautam Gambhir) said a lot of things that went out of control” Manoj Tiwary added.
