Yet another nail-biter made its way on Friday (May 11). The incredible knock from Jos Buttler handed a sweet four-wicket victory to Rajasthan Royals (RR) while the visitors, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni has got a lot of worries that needs an immediate action.
The win was always in the pocket of Super Kings but the stunning effort from Buttler did it for Royals to snatch the victory.
MS Dhoni is somewhat unhappy –
Meanwhile, speaking of the match, Dhoni stated that it was bowlers who let the team down and added that they haven’t executed the plans well.
Veteran cricketer explained that the plan was to go for the short of good length deliveries but the bowlers missed their length quite a few times that cost them dearly in the end.
However, he was quite happy with the fielding unit.

”I think it is the bowling. We had to bowl one particular length and the bowlers were instructed on what they need to bowl and where they need to bowl. That back of the length was a difficult one to hit. We at least got hit 4-5 boundaries off a full length,” Dhoni said during a post-match presentation.
”What really happens is once you are told what to bowl, you need to be bowling to that area. They need to commit and execute. It is not the planning but the execution that goes haywire,” Dhoni added.
Dhoni sets his sight on winning in playoff not qualifying:
The skipper of Super Kings furtherly urged his side to acclimatise to the conditions as quickly as possible in order to come good.
The Jharkhand-based star also cited that it is not about qualifying for the playoffs stage but also winning those crucial moments in the game. Dhoni felt that it was par score and fielders gave their best shot.

”That was a par score or a par plus score. I think the bowlers let us down to some extent. Looking at the XI that we have on the field, we did well in the field. We can say we can get better, but with the players we have, this is the best we can get,” Dhoni added.
”It is important to start delivering when it comes to the planning part. You just don’t want to qualify for the knockout stages, you have to win games. You also need to adjust to what length to bowl and how to bowl,” he concluded.
