Jose Mourinho might not have a long time left as the manager of Chelsea if his team keeps performing like this.

Reports are suggesting that the Portuguese legendary manager could be axed if he loses their next game where they are hosting Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Odds are as low as 5/6 on Sky Bet for the next manager to get sacked.

A report in the Belfast Telegraph has started to go viral on Thursday morning as it links Brendan Rodgers with taking over from Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.

The Belfast Telegraph claim that Rodgers is “now in the frame” to take over at Chelsea, where he previously worked under Mourinho, during the latter’s first spell at Stamford Bridge.

The Northern Irishman was sacked by Liverpool earlier this month but has strong connections to Chelsea having worked for the club as a youth team coach.

The likes of Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti and Guus Hiddink have all been linked with taking over from Mourinho in recent days.

According to The Belfast Telegraph: “His odds of becoming the next Chelsea boss slashed from 20/1 to just 7/1. Since his sacking by Liverpool earlier this month, Rodgers has also been linked with Aston Villa, but an interim role at Chelsea could be a more likely option, favourable to both parties.

Meanwhile, Twitter reacted hilariously to this saga. Here are some tweets-
