Jose Mourinho’s time at Stamford Bridge in all probability is limited. And in Chelsea’s eventful league so far another drama gets added and it will surely be Legendary.
Soon the ‘Special One’ will be shown the door and when that happens many top clubs will be lined to calls dibs on the Portuguese. So we have prepared a list of the top 5 clubs where Jose Mourinho might go to after an imminent sacking.
1. Paris Saint-Germain
A move to the French capital means that Jose Mourinho would become the 2nd manager to win titles in five different countries (he wins trophies wherever he goes so lets’ just accept it!). PSG might be enjoying success at home but when it comes to their performance in the greatest club competition, PSG have failed to go beyond the quarters and that is not highly liked by the management. A move to PSG is a plus in all departments, from the monetary department to a new challenge and we all know how the ‘special one’ relishes a good challenge. It would be a feather in Jose’s cap if he takes a team like PSG to new levels of greatness.
2. Real Madrid
The Spanish capital hasn’t forgotten him, the fans haven’t forgotten him and Perez surely hasn’t. So if the push comes to shove, Perez won’t think twice in letting Rafa go only after one season. And though Mourinho went out in the light of rifts with players and a bitter relationship but with a similar story his comeback at Chelsea delivered the cup for them so why not try that combination at Madrid?
3. Juventus
Though Allegri’s side won the league and also advanced to the final of the Champions League last season, but this year their fortunes seem to be declining as Juve sit at No. 10 in Serie A. It seems Massimiliano Allegri is finding it difficult to cope with his own achievements and if such a performance continues the management would look for replacements who can deliver for them and who better than Jose Mourinho.
4. Inter Milan
When things with Chelsea were going downhill, the Mourinho camp as a contingent plan was rumoured to be in touch with the Milan outfit. Mourinho has had a great history with Inter taking the club to win a historic treble and now as he gave hints during his time in Madrid about a future move to England saying “I am loved in England”, Mourinho said in an interview that he will eventually go to Inter. Even though things at San Siro are good you never know!
5. Portugal
The country would happily give the reins to Jose were he to announce his interest. Portugal have always shown keen interest in him, but Mourinho has always let the offer go saying that he would love to manage the national side but a bit later in the future. If this might be Mourinho’s ‘later’ the country would readily let go of Fernando Santos and with the Euro next year Mourinho’s sacking might just turn into a boon for Portugal and boost their international campaign.
