36-year-old Italian maestro, Andrea Pirlo is making news in Manchester. Well, this time it refers to the blue half of the city. The former Juventus star was reportedly linked with a loan move to Manchester City. Sources claimed that Pirlo would make a loan move to the Etihad in this January.
However, now the Manchester Evening News have clearly stated that City has no interest in bringing in the midfielder. Pirlo is currently a player for City’s sister club New York City F.C, whose season has ended after missing out on the MLS playoffs.
ManChester City has a strong midfield with the likes of Yaya Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho and Fabian Delph. There doesn’t really seem a need for another midfielder in the current squad. Pellegrini was linked with Pirlo since some time for a loan move. However, it is now certain that the club isn’t looking for the Flero born player.
Rumours had it that English football could witness the legendary player in the league for a short term now but now that the sources have revealed that City has no interests in luring the player to England, BPL won’t be seeing the Italian master.
