Twitter reaction: Pakistan defeated England by 127 runs, won the Test series 2-0
Pakistan have sealed the three-match Test series over England as they defeated Alastair Cook lead England at the Sharjah Test by 127 runs.
With this win, Misbah-ul-Haq keeps his unbeaten record on UAE as captain since he took the rein of the captaincy after the spot fixing incident engulfed the Pakistan cricket.
Pakistan have won the second Test at Dubai that ensured Pakistan’s unbeaten record on UAE soil since they adopted the country as their home ground for international series.
This win also stretched Misbah record for beating England the 5th time in his career which is the highest by an Asian captain.
Starting the fifth and final day 46 for 2 England lost 4 quicks wickets in 4 overs. Yasir Shah gave Pakistan the first breakthrough of the day as he trapped Joe Root lbw. Yasir Shah finally finished with an astonishing figure 4 for 44. He got good assistance from Shoaib Malik, who announced his Test retirement in the middle of the match. Malik failed with the bat but was phenomenal with the ball in hand. He has taken 4 in the first innings while sealed the victory with a three-wicket haul in the second innings. His victims were Ian Bell, Moin Ali and Alastair Cook.
Spinner Zulfiqar Babar, who has become the oldest Pakistani cricketer to take 50 Test wicket, also has two wickets.
