Chelsea and Jose Mourinho will breathe a sigh of relief as they have been able to put one foot in the next round of the Champions League even amongst a horrid run in the Premier league. Aleksander Dragovic had an eventful night as he scored at both the ends of the field. Willian scored an 83rd-minute winner to give the home side all three points at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

Let’s take a look at the Player ratings for this game.

Chelsea:

Begovic (2.5): Was generally on his toes coming off his lines to clear balls but made a horrible mistake to give Dragovic a clear chance to score.

J Terry (3.5) : Showed his experience and influence on the game as he hardly put a foot wrong in the centre of the Chelsea defense.

A Baba (2.5): Was not bad at back as he contained the likes of Yarmolenko but hardly provided anything in the attack.

K Zouma (3): Was caught out of position more than a couple of times but made up for it almost every time with his strength and presence of mind.

Azpilicueta (2.5): Nothing extra-ordinary from the Spaniard as he stuck to his task well on the flank.

Oscar (2.5): Started the game brightly with cross after cross to find Diego Costa but faded away as the game went on.

Ramiers (3): Made a number of blocks and interceptions to stop the visitors moves and worked extremely hard in the middle of the park.

Fabregas (3.5): An energetic performance from the mid-fielder as he covered lots of ground alongside Willian and Oscar.

Willian (4.5): Chelsea would have had a different result from this game if not for Willian. He was full of pace and energy down the flank and his direct approach gave him an assist and the winner of the game. A man of the match performance from the Brazilian.

N Matic (2.5): Provided good cover for the back four but needed to be better with his passing up front.

D Costa (2.5): Was given a lot of service by his wingers but showed no determination to make the most of them. Was a dull performance up front.

Cahill (2.5)

Pedro (3)

Eden Hazard (3)

Dynamo Kyiv:

Shovkovsky (3): Had no chance against either goal and was strong during set-pieces and general play in his area.

Antunes (2.5): Was constantly troubled by Willian’s pace down the flank and this restricted his game to the defensive areas.

Dragovic (2.5): Was horrible and clumsy when he conceded the own goal, but a calm finish gave his side the lead which didn’t last long.

Khacheridi (3): Dealt with cross after cross from Chelsea as he often negated the aerial threat of Diego Costa.

Vida (3): Did well to deny Oscar any space but was hardly available up front for the travelling side.

Buyalskyy (2): Was not effective playing in the centre of the park as he often gave the ball away on the counter.

Sydorchuk (1.5): Was a mere spectator at times as Chelsea stormed forward and was rightly substituted at half time.

Yarmolenko (3): Was terrific for the visitors whenever he had the ball as he showed his skill and pace. Lacked support from his teammates.

Rybalka (2.5): Sound at the back as he gave good cover to his back line but failed to help his team on the offence.

Kravets (2): Failed to capitalize on a one on one situation in the first half and was generally not really impressive.

Gonzalez (2.5): Played some good balls in for his attacking line but was not consistent enough to trouble the home side.
