Swashbuckling captain of the India T20 and ODI outfits, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Calcutta based Business tycoon Sanjeev Goenka, the owner and chairman of the RPG Sanjeev Goenka group, have shown keen interest in purchasing new teams in the Indian Premier League, which shall be up for grabs.

Sanjeev Goenka apparently has been urged by former India captain and fellow Atletico De Kolkata co-owner Sourav Ganguly to invest in the team, and has expressed an intrigue in investing in any team other than the team from Kolkata, which is being run and is owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Red CHillies Entertainment, with his business partner Jay Mehta and his wife, popular Indian actress, Juhi Chawla.
