The Australian cricket team has received a much-needed boost on Tuesday (July 17). Their reliable batsman Shaun Marsh is fit to play in their next tour.
Earlier, a shoulder injury forced him to return home from county cricket. The Baggy green side is without their experienced duo- Steven Smith and David Warner following the ball-tampering saga which took place in the Cape Town Test.

Smith, Warner and Cameron Bancroft are currently serving their respective bans from international cricket after being sanctioned by Cricket Australia (CA).
CA is confident that Marsh will be back to his full fitness in due course. He didn’t have had to undergo surgery to repair the ligament damage which put a break on his Glamorgan stint.

“He’ll now undergo rehabilitation with a focus on ensuring he is available for selection ahead of the next away tour against Pakistan,” CA doctor John Orchard said, according to CA digital.
The Test series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is likely to take place in the month of October. The dates for the tour hasn’t been finalized, as of now.
Marsh grabbed lifeline with both hands:
Marsh’s future looked bleak after he was ignored for the tour to Bangladesh, last year. But he was backed to perform in the traditional Ashes and the 35-year-old veteran didn’t disappoint.
A man-of-the-match performance from Shaun Marsh at Adelaide Oval helped his side go 2-0 up in the series. And the boys went on to win the series from there on convincingly by 4-0.

However, another Australian Joe Burn is set to replace his fellow countryman. Burn is likely to be available for Glamorgan’s next encounter against Somerset this Friday.
Though he won’t be available for the finale in case his side makes the cut. But the opener will head back to his home to participate in the JLT One-Day Cup.
Also, Australia will also hope that their pace battery stays charged up. Mitchell Marsh is yet to get back to action. He underwent ankle surgery in April. He will lead the Australia A side as they are ready to tour India in September.
