The Indian Premier League is a stage where players come to present their talent and showcase their skills. It had already helped many youngsters to fulfil their dreams.
It had filled the voids that were left when the senior players had decided to hang up boots. Rishabh Pant is one such guy who is on the way to realise his dream of playing for India across formats.
A dream call
After gathering a pile of runs in IPL 2018, Rishabh Pant too got a chance to present himself in an advanced stage.
He grabbed the eyeballs of the selectors after collecting 684 runs for Delhi Daredevils. In fact, he was the lone star when it comes to scoring quick runs.

His debut
The 20-year old, Rishabh Pant made his T20 debut last year. He recently got a Test call from the senior team, as a stand-by to Dinesh Karthik for England Tests.
Rishabh Pant is all set to share the dressing room with the senior’s team, as India is scheduled to play first Test starting on August 1. Meanwhile, Pant got a national call last year after performing in the list A matches for his state.
Rahul Dravid on Rishabh Pant

Many cricket experts and pundits are of the view that he may turn next Adam Gilchrist in cricketing history.
His U19 and India A coach, Rahul Dravid too shared a similar kind of views on him. Dravid was in all praises when asked about this wicketkeeping-batsman.
“He is a very talented player. He showed in three or four innings that he was willing to bat differently.
We all know the way he bats. Even in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy season when he got over to 900 runs his S/R was 100 plus, and we have seen him bat similarly in the IPL as well.
“He has the temperament and skills to bat differently. He is always going to be an attacking player, but reading of the situation when you are playing red ball cricket is required.
We are glad he has been picked into the national team, and I hope he takes this maturity into the national team and hopefully builds from thereon.”
