Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal seemed to have found a new interest outside cricket, as a video of him, kick-boxing went viral on social media recently.
Meanwhile, Umar was left out of the squad due to fitness issues, as Pakistan embarked to England. He had last played for Pakistan in January 2017 in an ODI against Australia Down Under.
Pakistan, however, is going through a purple patch winning back to back series. Most recently, they whitewashed Zimbabwe 5-0 in the ODI series dominating the opponents. Previously, they also routed Australia in the T20I tri-series final involving Zimbabwe.
Umar Akmal was recently in the news after the claimed bookies contacted him to fix games. The 28-year old said, in June, he regularly received offers to fix games against India and that he had always rejected them.

Last year, the 28-year old also failed to make the cut in Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy squad due to fitness issues, and Haris Sohail had made way instead of him.
So far, Umar has played 16 Tests, 116 ODIs and 82 Tests. He has 34 half-centuries and three centuries across the three international formats to his name.
Umar Akmal recently posted a video of him doing kickboxing which went viral on social media. However, it became a fun material for the Twitter users.
