The 14th edition of the tournament is scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates. The upcoming edition of Asia Cup will start on September 15. Six teams will be fighting it out for the top prize. The teams divided into two groups of three each. The team finishes at the bottom of their respective groups will be out of the tournament. The other four teams will play against each other in the Super 4 stage. The two teams that finish at the top of the table in super 4 after the conclusion will meet in the final.
Keeping in mind the 2019 World Cup, the tournament will be played in the ODI format. The previous tournament in Bangladesh in 2016 was played in the T20 format ahead of the World T20.
