India’s ever flamboyant limited overs opener Rohit Sharma has signed up a three-year deal with tyre manufacturing company CEAT Ltd. As a result of this association, Sharma will now be seen having the logo of CEAT on his bat. The deal was finalized and brought to public light on the first anniversary of Rohit’s epic knock of 264 against Sri Lanka in an ODI in Kolkata.
Rohit off late has been in rich form, as he has batted with ease and grace. The Indian opener is also the side’s leading run getter in ODI’s in 2015. After having a decent series in Sri Lanka, he now awaits a chance to face South Africa in the test matches.
Anant Goenka, MD, CEAT said, “We are proud to announce Rohit Sharma as the latest Indian cricketer to join CEAT’s family. Rohit is not only an extremely talented batsman but also a great leader and an inspiration to young aspiring cricketers. We believe that his dynamic personality combined with his performance and dependability on the field represents the values that CEAT believes in.”
Rohit Sharma too was pleased with the deal, and said, “This is definitely an exciting association for me. Partnering with CEAT, who’ve played a significant role in boosting cricket in our country is indeed an honour. I look forward to playing a long innings with CEAT!”
