In the 18th match of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), Jones Tuti Patriot’s bowler Athisayaraj Davidson was able to hit the bullseye with his yorkers. In fact, Davidson has a slinging action like Sri Lankan fast bowler, Lasith Malinga.
First, Athisayaraj Davidson was able to get the better off, S Harish Kumar who played on to his stumps. Then the Jones Tuti Patriots fast bowler was able to dismantle the woodwork of A Aarif. Thus, the fast bowler was accurate with his yorkers. However, the pacer was a little expensive in his spell as he conceded 39 runs in his four overs quota.

Consequently, the Jones Tuti Patriots were able to reduce the Chepauk Super Gillies to a par score of 167 runs. The Jones Tuti Patriots were able to cruise to a comfortable win of seven wickets with 16 balls to spare.
Jones Tuti Patriots skipper KM Gandhi scored a fine 45 to help his team get over the line. The wicketkeeper-batsman Subramaniam Anand and R Sathish were able to provide the finishing touches to the run-chase. Anand scored 48 runs off 34 balls whereas Sathish raced to 30 runs off just 12 balls.

Subramaniam Anand was adjudged the Man of the Match for his fine knock of 48 runs.
Chepauk Super Gillies will now take on VB Kanchi Veerans on 31st July. On the other hand, Jones Tuti Patriots will square off with Ruby Trichy Warriors on 1 August of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League.
