Test cricket: 5 cricketers whose swashbuckling performance entertained us today
Test matches these days are being played with a lot of excitement. Australia have declared their first innings for 559/9 at W.AC.A, Perth. David Warner’s innings finally ended at 253 runs. New Zealand have ended the day for 140 for 2 in 42 overs. New Zealand have lost two wickets of Martin Guptill and Tom Latham. But, Kane Williamson once again showed his class and scored 70 and Ross Taylor who is batting on 26 will start New Zealand’s first innings tomorrow.
On the other hand, at Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore, Indian captain Virat Kohli winning the toss chose to field first. Indian bowlers bowled South Africa out in 214. AB de Villiers scored 85 in his 100th Test match.

1) David Warner

The left-handed Australian batsman has hit his third consecutive hundred against New Zealand. Warner has scored his maiden double hundred on the first day of the second Test at W.A.C.A, Perth. He scored 253 off 286 before was caught by Mark Craig off Trent Boult. He played a gutsy innings which helped Australia to post 559 runs for 9 on board.
2) R. Ashwin

When South Africa came to bat today morning at Bangalore. R. Ashwin rattled the Proteas’ batting department. In the 8th over of the innings, R.Ashwin got Stiaan van Zyl and after a gap of two balls sent back Faf du Plessis. Ashwin bagged two more wickets of JP Duminy and Morne Morkel to finish with a figure 4 for 70.
3)Kane Williamson

This New Zealand batsman has showed temperament once again in the series against Australia. In reply to Australia’s first innings total 559 New Zealand have their first wicket Martin Guptill on the first ball of the third over. Australian pacer Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson were coming hard at Williamson. But, the technically gifted batsman defended them with ease.
Williamson has played some of the classical shots to the good length delivery of Johnson. Williamson ended the day’s business scoring 70 off 121 balls. Williamson has scored 140 in the Brisbane Test.
4)Ravindra Jadeja

The Indian off spinner’s partnership with R. Ashwin once again bamboozled South Africa in the “Gandhi-Mandela” Test series. Jadeja bagged a fifer in the first Test at Mohali, where India won the match by 108 runs inside three days.
Jadeja, who made his comeback in the team after he was dropped from the team after the tour of Australia, has taken four wickets four wickets in this match as well. His victims were Dean Elgar, Dane Vilas, AB de Villiers and Kagiso Rabada.
5)AB de Villiers

He is playing his 100th Test match of his career at Bangalore. The spontaneous Bangalore crowd welcomed AB de Villiers with a standing ovation. When he came to bat South Africa were in trouble as they lost three quick wickets in 45 runs. Captain Hashim Amla was bowled by Varun Aaron with a beautiful outswinger.
So, AB de Villiers shouldered the pressure and played an 85 run knock. He tried to rattle the Indian bowlers with some lusty shots. But, Wriddhiman Saha knew the worth of his wicket, so the wicketkeeper grabbed a blinder to sent AB de Villiers back on 85 runs. After De Villiers’ departure, South Africa’s last three wickets in 8 overs.
