Nepal’s 15-year and 335 days old Rohit Kumar Paudel became the fourth youngest ODI debutant. Rohit wrote his name in the history books when he made the cut in the playing XI for his country at a young age.
Meanwhile, it was the second ODI match for Nepal as they went to register their maiden win in the 50-overs format. In fact, the match went down the wire as Nepal clinch the nail-biting contest by one run.

Pakistan’s Hasan Raza is the youngest player to make a debut in a One-Day match. Raza went on to play for the Men in Green when he was just 14 years and 221 days old. The youngster made his debut against Zimbabwe in 1996.
In 2013, Kenya’s Gurdeep Singh became the second youngest player to make his ODI debut when he played against Afghanistan at an age of 15 years and 258 days.
Furthermore, Canada’s Nitish Kumar is the third youngest ODI player having played his maiden match against Afghanistan in 2012 at Sharjah. Moreover, Pakistan’s Aaqib Javed at 16 years and 127 days was the fifth youngest to made his ODI debut.

Sachin Tendulkar is the ninth youngest to make his ODI debut as he was 16 years 238 days old when he made his debut against Pakistan in 1989.
Meanwhile, Rohit Kumar Paudel didn’t have the best of ODI debuts as he scored only six runs in Nepal’s innings. However, Paudel was able to take one catch on his maiden appearance. The right-hander will definitely look for more opportunities in the coming time.
On the other hand, skipper Paras Khadka and Sompal Kami were instrumental in getting Nepal to 216 runs. Khadka scored his maiden fifty where Kami scored a quickfire 61 off just 46 balls.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Lamichhane who also represented Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League took three wickets in his ten overs quota.
