Everton’s new signing Lucas Digne is in the spotlight just after joining the club. Though the topic is not about the signing, but about the player’s “I never walk alone” tattoo on his body.
Lucas Digne has a bold message for the Liverpool fans.
After seeing the tattoo, everyone started to assume Digne is a Liverpool fan and he wanted to join the club. But in an interview with Liverpool Echo, he cleared out the confusion with a bold message. And it was a tough one for the Liverpool fans to take. Digne told Liverpool Echo,
“There is nothing about football; it is just about my parents. When I go for my first day at school when I was three or four years old, they gave me a necklace with these words on.”
The player has also revealed he has rejected Liverpool two times.
“After when I was 18 years old in Lille, I got a tattoo, and maybe the Liverpool fans are angry because I said, two times, ‘no’ to sign for Liverpool.”

When asked when Liverpool offer Digne two times, he said,
“Two times, the first after Lille when I went to Paris and the second time was after Rome. I said two times ‘no’ because I am a Blue.”
Digne, who found life difficult at FC Barcelona has finally moved out of the club. The player has signed for the English club, Everton for £22m ($29m). The Frenchman has signed a five-year contract with the club.
Digne had a rough time with the Spanish club. After spending the 2015-16 season on loan at Roma, he moved to Barcelona in 2016 and made 12 La Liga appearances. He didn’t get enough playing time, and the manager never included him in his plans.
