Former Brazil forward Ronaldo was rushed to hospital after being infected with flu on Friday. However, he has gave an update to his fans of his recovery and thanked everyone for the support.

The former Real Madrid player was taken to a hospital in Ibiza after being struck down with pneumonia. He was transferred to a private hospital named Clinica Nuestra Señora del Rosario and kept in intensive care.
After the news spread worldwide, fans from all corner of the world gave get well soon messages to the Brazil legend.
In reply, Ronaldo felt delight after seeing the support and he posted a message on his twitter account on Sunday thanking all his supporters.
“Friends, I had a very strong flu in Ibiza. I had to be hospitalised on Friday but everything is in order. Tomorrow I will be discharged and I will return home. Thank you all for your love and your messages!”

Ronaldo went to Ibiza for spending his vacation and is said to own property on the Spanish Island. It comes just weeks after he was in Russia to open the 2018 tournament. He appeared on screen with the official ball and took part in a passing routine with a local child.
Ronaldo is the all-time World Cup top goal scorer with 15 goals. He retired from football in 2011 following a hugely successful career which featured stints at PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Brazilian sides Corinthians and Cruzeiro as well as Real Madrid. He is now also the club ambassador of Los Blancos.
The Brazil forward won two La Liga titles with Real, the UEFA Cup with Inter and lifted the World Cup in 1994 and 2002 with Brazil. The legendary forward also won the Ballon d’Or award for the best player in the world in 1997 and 2002.
