India’s badminton star Pusarla Venkata Sindhu more famously known PV Sindhu has made the cut into top 10 Women list of Forbes. Sindhu takes the seventh place in the highest earning female athletes in the world.
Interestingly, Sindhu’s on-court earning last year totalled $500,000 (£387,000). However, her endorsements saw Sindhu make a whopping extra $8m (£6.2m) in sponsorship. Thus, Sindhu has an overall income of massive $8.2 million. Consequently, PV Sindhu makes a weekly income of $163,000 (£126,000).

Meanwhile, The United States of America’s Tennis player Serena Williams is at the top of the table. The Tennis sensation who has won 21 Slams makes a total earning of $18.062 million. However, just like Sindhu and most of the athletes, Serena makes most of her income from the endorsements.
She makes $18 million from sponsorships. However, Serena’s earning have dropped considerably as she was out of action due to the birth of her child.
Meanwhile, the top ten list of the top ten richest female athletes is dominated by Tennis players as there are eight Tennis players out of the top 10. The one remaining spot is taken by racing star Danica Patrick who is at the ninth place.

PV Sindhu is the silver Olympic medallists of the 2016 Rio event. The lanky shuttler who is placed at the second rank in the world lost to her nemesis Carolina Marin in the final of the World Championship recently.
However, Sindhu has made it to the second round of the ongoing Asian Games in Jakarta.
On the other hand, Wimbledon champions Angelique Kerber takes the 10th place whereas Maria Sharapova is at the fifth place in the richest female athletes list. Serena William’s sister Venus is at the sixth place in the Forbes list.
