Young Bangladesh cricketer, Mosaddek Hossain has been among the news after his longtime life partner filed a case against him of torturing.
Meanwhile, Hossain’s partner filed the case with the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Mymensingh on Sunday afternoon. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Rosina Khan ordered the Sadar Upazila executive officer or UNO to investigate the case and all the charges labeled against the cricketer.
However, this can land Mosaddek Hossain in deep trouble as he is likely to miss the upcoming Asia Cup 2018. He has been in the probables and is a regular feature in Bangladesh side recently. Furthermore, the young all-rounder made his debut in this very same tournament in 2016.
According to the reports in bdnews24, Mosaddek Hossain has been torturing his wife Usha for dowry.
“Mosaddek has been torturing Usha for the dowry for a long time. He (Mosaddek) tortured her and drove her out of home for Tk 1 million in dowry on Aug 15,” her lawyer Rezaul Karim Dulal said.
Previously, her elder brother has accused him of extramarital affairs after the marriage. Moreover, he also informed that money had changed the mind of the cricketer.
“Whenever my sister asks him to stop such activities, he gets heated and that’s the beginning of contention as well as distance. Although everything was fine in the beginning, Mosaddek started to lose his morality after getting chance in the Bangladesh national team. We realize that star fame, name-calling, and money have changed him,” he said to bdcrictime.
However, Mosaddek Hossain’s brother Mosabber Hossain has denied all the charges. He said that there were disagreements ever since they got married and her wife started spreading fake rumours.
“They have been in disagreement since they married. Mosaddek sent her a divorce letter on Aug 15. But she demanded more money than mentioned in the marriage documents as ‘Denmohar’ or dower. She has started the case after spreading false and misleading information as she did not get the money,” Mosabber said.
