According to reports, Italian midfield legend Andrea Pirlo has agreed on a deal to come to English Premier League. Sky Italia has reported that Pirlo has already agreed in terms with Manchester City. Sky Italia journalist Fabio Caressa has said that City has agreed on a deal with Pirlo.

City own Pirlo’s current team New York City FC of MLS, through their City Football Group company.

The former Milan, Juventus legend has only made 13 appearances for them, he clearly is not enjoying his times here.

‘’ Despite struggling to hit his stride in the States, Manuel Pellegrini will bring the legendary Italian midfielder to the Etihad in January and a contract is already in place’’ – says Fabio Caressa.

The Italian legend has lifted the World Cup in 2006 and featured in more than hundred international games for Italy.

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has said – ‘’ Inter does not need to sign Andrea Pirlo because they already have good options in midfield’’.

“I know the fans would always like us to sign new players’’

‘’ We have a number of players who only joined this summer, however, whereas others have been at the club a bit longer.’’

“We don’t want to simply buy more players who could then have issues adapting to our system.

“We made nine new signings who have settled very quickly over the last few months and all credit to (manager Roberto) Mancini for that.

“Pirlo? He’s a great player, but we have lots of good options in midfield and some exciting young players.

“Clearly we’ll assess all available options in January but, as I’ve always maintained, we need players who fit the club’s project, not just big names.”

With the experience, class of Andrea Pirlo, City midfield will get huge boost as these days Yaya Toure is misfiring mostly
