After the international break, Juventus will finally be back in action on Sunday when they will face Sassulo in their league game. And the manager, Massimiliano Allegri believes Cristiano Ronaldo who is yet to open his account will finally get his first goal for the club.
Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to score his first goal in Seria A.
Ronaldo, who joined Juventus from Real Madrid in the 2018 summer transfer window has played three matches in Seria A so far. His only contribution so far has been an assist to Mario Mandzukic’s goal in the 2-0 win against Lazio on 25th August. However, Allegri predicts he will play well and score on Sunday.
“He has trained well, but I do not expect anything more or less from him than I did in the first three games. Everyone has been waiting for Ronaldo [to score], and he set up Mandzukic. Tomorrow he will play and will score.”
Cristiano Ronaldo was rested for Portugal’s friendly against Croatia and UEFA Nations League opener against Italy. In the meantime, he has prepared for the upcoming league game.

With Champions League starting this week, Allegri feels it’s time to start rotating players. And Blaise Matuidi, who played for France in the international break is likely to be rested against Sassuolo. If it happens so, the door will get open for Paulo Dybala. He was on the bench against Lazio and was a late substitute against Parma.
“I have a lot of players, and a big squad and someone has to be left out. There’s room for everyone.”
Dybala did not feature in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Guatemala. And he came on as a second-half substitute in Tuesday’s goalless draw with Colombia.
