South Africa’s test squad definitely seems to be jinxed! In the first test at Mohali, Dale Steyn was ruled out midway through the game because of a strain. Then after the first test, Vernon Philander was out of the second test due to an injury. On the first day of the third test at Nagpur, Morne Morkel too seemed to be in some trouble.

After bowling his heart out in the second session of the first day’s play in Nagpur, Morkel seemed to be in serious discomfort during his delivery stride. The towering pacer then trudged back into the pavilion to treat his injury. If he is ruled out of the remainder of the game, then it would be simply catastrophic for the South Africans. Morkel was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa, as he picked 3 wickets for just 35 runs.

Below, is the video of Morkel getting injured in his delivery stride.
