Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag sends his birthday greetings to Windies star batsman Chris Gayle, who is celebrating his 39th birthday today.
Meanwhile, Chris Gayle and Virender Sehwag share a great bonhomie as they were a part of Kings XI Punjab squad. Although they didn’t have a successful season, the duo shared some quality time together.
Furthermore, Virender Sehwag was instrumental in bringing Chris Gayle to Kings XI Punjab. The giant hard-hitter went unsold in the earlier sessions of the auctions, but Sehwag roped him in the 11th hour.

Thus, getting Gayle on board paid dividends as he scored runs in the first few matches for Punjab. Gayle also scored a hundred in the eleventh season of the Twenty20 league. Meanwhile, Chris Gayle also led St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the recently concluded Carribean Premier League. The combative batsman is also setting his eyes on the next year World Cup.
On the other hand, Windies will tour India for two Test matches, five One Day Internationals, and three T20 Internationals. Thus, Gayle will like to hit the ground running in the limited-overs leg.
Chris Gayle has been instrumental in the success of the Windies and will hold a key role in the upcoming World Cup. Gayle had also scored a fine double hundred in the previous edition of the World Cup.
Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to send his birthday wish to the big man.
