Pakistan Cricket team leg-spinner Shadab Khan is likely to miss the Asia Cup Super Four encounter against Afghanistan on September 21 (Friday).

Meanwhile, Shadab sustained a little niggle in the game against India, which they lost by eight wickets. The leg-spinner started the game on a high castling Rohit Sharma’s timber from the first delivery of his spell. However, he didn’t have much role to play as India cruised to victory quite comfortably.

However, Shadab Khan sustained a slight niggle during that game which is likely to keep him away from Pakistan’s first Asia Cup Super Four fixture. Mohammad Nawaz, meanwhile, is likely to come into the equation in place of Shadab Khan.

Nawaz, a genuine all-rounder can contribute to all the departments. Although he is new to international cricket, he has shown enough prospect to shine in this type of high-voltage games.

The Green Caps, meanwhile, will have to regroup themselves after their recent snubbing against India. They will face a jubilant Afghanistan side, who have defeated both the sides, who are above in the rankings. The team, regarding personnel, is brilliant. Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman are top picks as openers, and in Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik and captain Ahmed himself, there’s enough in the tank there.

The bowling unit looks as impressive as ever. Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Usman Shinwari and Faheem Ashraf the main pacers and Shadab Khan the outstanding spin frontman.

It’s a superb team, capable of great things. But so are Afghanistan, and this should be an outstanding contest between two units with great talent and ability.
