Pakistan batsman Shoaib Malik won everyone’s heart not only by playing a fabulous cricket against Afghanistan but also with his warm gesture towards Aftab Alam in Super Four game of Asia Cup.
Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik played a heroic knock to take his team over the line in a thrilling Super 4 clash against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2018 on September 21 (Friday).
The fans from both the countries were continuously cheering for their nation from the stands. It was very much clear that neither of the two sides didn’t want to finish of the match losing. But in a cricket match, other than a draw, one side has to win and the other has to lose.

However, defending 258, Afghanistan had to stop Pakistan from scoring 18 runs in the last two overs. Rashid Khan bowled a brilliant 49th over. He began the over by conceding two singles.

Meanwhile, Pakistan needed 10 runs off the last over of the match. Malik faced a dot ball and then hit a six in the very next ball. After the huge, Pakistan got some relief as the required run rate comes down to 1. He smashed the third ball with a boundary and take the Men in Green over the line with 3 wickets and 3 balls to spare.
Moreover, it was his gesture after the match got over which won hearts as Malik was seen consoling a distressed Aftab Alam. However, the other players of Afghanistan and Pakistan are shaking their hands. Malik was celebrating the win while Aftab was finding it tough to stop tears coming out of his eyes.

Aftab was down on his knees and covered his face with his hands after the defeat. Malik, however, bent down and consoled his opponent while his other partner Hasan Ali also joined in.
Pakistan will next face India in Dubai on September 23 (Sunday) while Bangladesh and Afghanistan will face off in Abu Dhabi on the same day.
